Memorial Forest

30th October 2023

2 Years On

Just over 2 years ago we planted 1800 trees next to our horse paddocks to commemorate the life of Chris Murphy, father and previous owner of Sugar Beach Ranch. With Reforest Now we managed to turn a baron plot of land into a thriving ecosystem for nature to blossom again.

It's been two years since friends and family came together to plant 1,800 native trees and plants to commemorate the passing of rock legend Chris Murphy. With the help of Reforest Now we turned a baron plot of land into a thriving ecosystem for nature to thrive again.

This is the forest as it stands today

We are honoured to be on the ancestral lands of the Bundjalung People. We acknowledge the first Australians as the traditional custodians of the continent, whose cultures are among the oldest living cultures in human history. We pay respect to the Elders of the community and extend our recognition to their descendants who are present.
